"What Shall We Die For" is a musical theme composed and conducted by Hans Zimmer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. It appears as track ten on the film's soundtrack, at 2:02 in length.

The track begins with low, booming percussion leading to a slowly-building rendition of the orchestral "Hoist the Colours". The theme builds until the choir begins to sing the song's lyrics, with a dramatic ending that leads directly into "I Don't Think Now Is the Best Time".

It accompanies Elizabeth Swann's speech to the crew of the Black Pearl, and the preperation for battle that follows. The track takes its name from a line spoken by Elizabeth, leading into her speech.

Also lightly as a background chord Lord Cutler Beckett's theme can be heard.
