"Up Is Down" is a musical theme composed and conducted by Hans Zimmer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. It appears as track five on the film's soundtrack, at 2:42 in length.

The track begins with a brass chord that swells into a rhythmic ostinato on the strings, utilizing elements of "Jack Sparrow", then the second variant of the film's love theme begins as a complex ostinato before rising as a triumphant, heroic melody. The primary version of the love theme returns in full splendor, before the World's End theme, from "At Wit's End", ends the track.

It accompanies the action in Davy Jones' Locker while the Black Pearl is being tipped upside down.

The theme also appears briefly at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, in a scene in which Captain Jack maroons Angelica on a deserted island. This cue was not, however, released on the official soundtrack.
