This man was the first Pirate King of the Brethren Court, elected during the first meeting of the Pirate Lords from the Four Corners of the Earth.

It was the first Pirate King who, along with the Brethren, bound the sea goddess Calypso in her human form, presumably at Shipwreck Cove. The King believed this would make the seas safe to roam for all pirates.
