This shack was located on the Pantano River in the Cypress Forest of Pelegosto. The mystic Tia Dalma made her home here at some point prior to Jack Sparrow's adventures with the crew of the Barnacle.

[edit] Layout
The tumbledown shack clung to the branches of a tree in a distant part of the swamp. Every kind of lumber was used in its construction, from forest logs to nailed planks from coffins and parts of discarded canoes.[1] A ladder led up from a small jetty onto the shack's porch.
The inside of the shack was a clutter of mysterious and magical objects; jars of herbs and spices, caged animals and bones.[2] Potions made from ground, dried plants hung from the roof, and at least one jar was known to hold a lock of Sirens' hair, while another, iron-bound jar was filled with eyeballs.[1] Tia Dalma had a small table situated in the center of the room, on which she divined the future through her crab claws. Calypso's locket was also commonly found here. Further into the shack, Dalma kept the jar of dirt she would give to Jack Sparrow as protection against Davy Jones, and the Sword of Cortés, held for safe-keeping following the defeat of Hernán Cortés' spirit.[3]
[edit] History
Jack and his crew visited Dalma in order to find the Flying Dutchman. By this point, Dalma had resurrected Hector Barbossa, who was residing in the shack. It was to here the crew returned after Jack was dragged down to Davy Jones' Locker, and from the shack his rescue mission was launched by Barbossa, William Turner, Elizabeth Swann and the other survivors of the Kraken's attack. The fate of the shack following Calypso's release from Tia Dalma's body remains unknown.
