Stuart Beattie (born 1972) is an Australian screenwriter. He wrote the original screen story of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with Jay Wolpert, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. Beattie was credited along with Wolpert for creating characters for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, who also appear in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, both written by Elliott and Rossio.
