This man was a sailor. He pulled Jack Sparrow's tricorne from the water and tried it on. After a short argument with his colleague about the ownership of the hat, the boat was destroyed by the Kraken.

- The Short sailor was portrayed by Nej Adamson in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
- In Dead Man's Chest, this man spoke in Cypriot Turkish. His colleague, however, conversed with him in the unrelated but neighboring Cypriot Greek language.
