The serpent was a four-headed snake native to the Island of the Cloak of Caladonis. It guarded the Cloak of Caladonis.
Jack Sparrow and the crew of the pirate ship Black Pearl had a small skirmish with the beast as they tried to possess the Cloak. The serpent ultimately won in defending the Cloak, but it was rendered immobile when Jack cut a tree that landed on its back.

- This serpent could be of the same species as another sea serpent that appeared in another Disney Adventures comic. However, that species only has one head.
- This serpent could have been inspired by the Lernaean Hydra, a many-headed serpent killed by Heracles according to ancient Greek mythology.
