The saber-toothed cat is a prehistoric big cat. They were social and hunted in packs.

Jack Sparrow and Fitzwilliam P. Dalton III encountered a pack of sabertooth tigers on Isla Esquelética when the flow of time was disrupted. They were able to escape with the help of the pterodactyls. The scientific name is Smilidon . Despite its name, it is not a true tiger as it is only distantly related to them.
