- "Marie is with child. It is no wonder she goes from laughter to tears by the moment. From what I have heard, that often happens."
"She's going to have a baby?"
"Yes, isn't that wonderful? Steve will be so happy when he finds out." - ―Esmeralda and Jack Sparrow
Pregnancy was the fertilization and development of one or more offspring, known as an embryo or fetus, in a woman's uterus.
Behind the scenes
- By the time filming for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides started, Penélope Cruz (Angelica) was about two months pregnant when she began filming her scenes. But according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, that didn't affect production. Cruz's pregnancy became noticeable on set at Puerto Rico, about four months after filming began.[1] After that, she only filmed Angelica's close-ups while her sister Mónica did all of Angelica's long-distance shots.[2]
