- "Pirates has been one of our most successful and most popular attractions in history. It sort of defined what a Disney environmental attraction would be. It was the first one, and it's sort of been the benchmark. Whenever we do anything new, we sort of subconsciously say, 'How's it gonna compare against Pirates?'"
- ―Bruce Gordon[src]
Pirates of the Caribbean is a dark ride at the Walt Disney theme parks. It is one of the most popular and well-loved Disney attractions. This was the last attraction that Walt Disney himself participated in designing; with it opening three months after his death.
