Only Found Out Yesterday was a piece of guitar music.
The song was played on guitar by Captain Teague during the Fourth Brethren Court in Shipwreck Cove, while the Pirate Lords were voting for a new Pirate King.
Behind the scenes[]
- "Only Found Out Yesterday" was written and performed by Keith Richards, who portrayed Captain Teague, as credited in the ending credits for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
- Despite being in the film, this song was not released as a part of the film's soundtrack.
- Some fans originally thought that Captain Teague played the song Spanish Ladies on his guitar during the Fourth Brethren Court because of Johnny Depp mentioning that Keith Richards played it in the "Keith and the Captain" feature in the At World's End DVD/Bluray releases.[1] But the film's ending credits revealed "Only Found Out Yesterday" was the song that was played.[2]
- The song was also played in Martin Scorsese's 2008 Rolling Stones documentary Shine a Light.
