- "I love this song. Really bad eggs. When I get the Pearl back, I'm gonna teach it to the whole crew, and we'll sing it all the time."
"And you'll be positively the most fearsome pirates in the Spanish Main!"
"Not just the Spanish Main, love. The entire ocean, the entire world." - ―Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann
An ocean was a body of saline water that composed a large part of a planet's hydrosphere. In the context of Earth, it refered to one or all of the major divisions of the planet's World Ocean – most notably, in descending order of area, the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian. The word "sea" was often used interchangeably with "ocean", along with the term Seven Seas, but strictly speaking a sea was a body of saline water partly or fully enclosed by land.
