I'm flattered to be considered the honor and all, but no thanks. Until July 9th/July 10th, I'm unavailable and don't have the time to do more than smaller edits (uploading images, accuracy corrections, etc) and putting my main focus on the project I already mentioned before. Hence why I'm unable to honor our agreement in helping fix the copied POTC pages on Disney Wiki at this time. Besides, even if I could work on it, the page would end up as a stub as I don't have much knowledge on the universe for now.
Sorry I couldn't have been of more help. Good luck with all of it.
There's a reason I switched "voodooist" to "Voodoo practitioners". Recently discovered that Blackbeard was technically not considered a voodooist for the following reasons...
Terry Rossio described him as a "Brujos" on Wordplay.
That he was simply studied Voodoo but wasn't accepted into some religion or cult. (see more via PM)
Hey mate, I was wondering if the on-set images sections in the gallery pages were something that should be expand ? I've got some but I'm not sure if it would be a good thing or not to put a lot of these because they're not that much "important"...
If they are similar images, it should be OK to upload them. But if they are exact duplicates then don't upload them. Same thing can be said if you upload an image of Blackbeard's head but turns out it's a cropped version of another image...then again, we usually upload cropped images, but usually for focus or use as an infobox image(like this mermaid image for instance)
Oh, so, by example, I got some on-set photos of the scene where Jack maroons Angelica. There's already some of that scene, not the exact same, but there's not that much differences (I mean, it's always Johnny and Penelope walking or talking on the set). So my question is, is it really relevant to add them ?
Hmm...honestly, unless if I see the images, I can't tell. Some images we may keep but I can't guarantee it. But as far as I know, we don't have many On-set images of Angelica's marooning, so I suppose it won't hurt to try them out.
Did you know that Koehler was supposed to be Dutch in the original script? I just thought that it should be put up in the Behind the Scenes sectio with his original description.
That Koehler spoke a single line in Dutch is worth mentioning - however, it's not enough to assume that the character was originally Dutch. Not saying the character wasn't intended as such, but one mention of him using a Dutch accent doesn't necessarily prove that the character was originally Dutch.
In short, it's possible but also not possible. Other than that one spot of the screenplay, nothing said that he was Dutch.
I thought perhaps it would be interesting to put up in the Behind the Scenes section. Although, I can see why they possibly wanted him to be black: to show audiences that pirate crews weren't all made up of Caucasians. Anyway, I think the next POTC film needs perhaps a bit more foreign characters in Jack's crew.
The films seem to have a fair amount of international characters to me, especially with the recent additions like Salaman and Garheng for On Stranger Tides. But everyone has their opinions.
I don't think I need to tell you what to do at this point, as I'm sure it was made clear. Unless you were referring to something else?
Also, in case you didn't know, I already told Disney dork777 that I can't help fixing your articles right now; I'm working on prepping the Wiki for celebrating the 10-year anniversary of CotBP's release, and that's on top of my other projects and regularly admin duties. Just something to let you know about.
Do what you must, but remember our agreement - try not to copy too much info images and whatnot use your own words. Even it if it's only summarized info.
My opinion on what to do regarding your articles on Queen Anne's Revenge and Blackbeard, just cover On Stranger Tides info. Where Blackbeard was born or how he got his ship doesn't seem like the type of info Disney Wiki should have(mostly because you guys cover only Disney material; POTC Wiki has to use historical backstories)
For looking for other Wikis, I suggest here. As far as I know, Wikia doesn't have an "Add friends" feature, so I guess you just write who your friends are on your userpage.
