I'm asking because Jones' lobster claw is on the wrong arm (which means the image of Jones is inverted), I've never seen Jones with other characters on any official poster, and I also don't remember seeing number 3 on any AWE poster.
I'm a graphic designer and I know how they make and use those posters. If it was fanmade, I wouldn't have uploaded it. :) Besides, there are more P3 posters that look fanmade, but they're official. They're usually made by graphic designers from other countries, like Philippines and Arabia. They "tease" the original PSDs and make their own, but they do get printed, which means that they're official. If you don't like this one, you can remove it, though, who cares? Also, Davy HAS been put in other posters with the rest of the group. I guess you just haven't seen them. Check these out:
Please, when you are uploading images, make sure that those images weren't already uploaded by someone else. And if they were, and your images are of higher quality, you need to upload your images over the existing files, not separately.
Hi. I saw the picture, but I've no idea how to replace it, (upload mine over an other), and, since the one I posted is in a better resolution, why didn't you replace yours with mine? Also, since the movie is out in 1920x800 since September 6, why do you upload screencaps in lower resolution? Lol.
Just go to the older image, click "File History", and then click "Upload a new version of this file", upload your image, and that's it.
Also, when you click "Add new image" you should also click "More Options". There you can change the file's name from "Vlcsnap-long-line-of-numbers.png" into something meaningful. In the "Caption:" section you should put this:
*''[[Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales]]''
As both J Fan and I told you before, every image you upload needs to be properly sourced and licensed. As for the screencaps, I'm uploading what I have available. If you have the same screencaps of higher quality don't hesitate to upload them over mine.
I thought the images came from the alternate trailer. Unfortunately, every time I try to open that page it redirects me to Disney International so I can't see anything. The poster looks very good, and I like it, but please, from now on, before you upload an image, give it some proper name, not just a meaningless line of numbers.
Ok, sorry for that, but those files name themselves by the program that I use in order to take each and every shot, it won't happen again. :) Plus, I can send you the link to download the alternate trailer in full HD (1080p) if you want. And, (plus), I found the source to the Spanish poster.
It's not so urgent. I'm sure it will appear on youtube sooner or later. Besides the images you uploaded, are there any other different scenes that we didn't see in the original trailer? Oh, and was the name of that town where Jack was imprisoned mentioned anywhere?
I'm speechless. xD (On the one hand. :P ) On the other, I think it's very similar to Pirates 1. "I don't believe in ghosts" (Elizabeth and Carina), Heny speaking with Jack while he's in the jail, like Will did in Pirates 1, Henry saves Carina in the same way Will saves Jack from the gallows in Pirates 1, but Johnny's performance has nothing to do with the 1st movie. They've made Jack like a caricature, and not a character anymore. He's very "funny", so, I assume that he gets more mad in every movie. Lol. :P And as about Salazar, I think he's the most terryfing villan that we've seen in the whole series.
Once again, you uploaded an image without attempting to link a source...of course the only way I could tell where it came from was because of Joachim Rønning's Instagram. Otherwise, I would have been at a loss. So now I wonder, is there a reason you're ignoring this and our other discussions? To be quite frank, I see no reason why you cannot help us with this. You take the time to find the image, and take the time to upload them, but when asked to provide at least one usable, linkable source, you back away. Why? It can't be because we're asking too much...because frankly, uploading all images related to P5 is too much to ask.
Instagram doesn't let you save a photo, so I press the Prt Scr button, and save it in Photoshop. Because of a hurry, I don't post the source, cause I always close the pages that I take the pics from. It's not gonna happen again.
Ok, you're doing good so far lately. But (regarding you recent uploads) all of your image uploads need sources, not just one. A simple link whether it's Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, some random website, etc. Cheers!
You do recall our previous discussion, correct? If so, it would be much appreciated if you can provide the proper source of your image uploads, whether they be from online news articles, social-media websites, blogs, video, etc. Let me or Uskok know if you have any questions.
For future reference, can you please provide the source where you get your future images? Posters and stuff I'm sure is more simpler, but I am mainly referring to the on-set images of Pirates 5, many of which are not sourced. If you need an example or two...
Officially-revealed images - Twitter, Facebook, etc posts from stars of the movie most definitely need being sourced to show appreciation for them revealing tidbits about their new project.
Not-so-official source - Like the numerous images we're getting from on the set in Australia. For the most part, I can't really follow where the image(s) came from originally...where it be an online news article, a video, etc. This is one I'm mainly having issues with.
Other than that, you're doing very good so far! Most of those images I'm sure I wouldn't be able to find firsthand...hence why I'm bringing the current topic up. Thank you for your time and happy editing! :)
I use to Google search everyday about "Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Dead Men Tell No Tales", and I usually get the photos from Joachim Ronning's instagram account, Jerry Bruckheimer's twitter account, or, more unofficially, from different websites that show no violence at all, regarding credits and stuff. As for the main pictures you're referring to, the last 2 of them, I got them from a video. The rest of them, have been taken by fans, outside the set, or by photographers and paparazzis who write articles, regarding the movie, and publish them.
So, for future posts, I'm sure I can send you a private message with links, cause I don't really know how to put the link WITH the picture that I post. Lol. By the way, there are 3 more pictures that I'll post, (from On Stranger Tides). I can send you the link, if you wish.
If the image comes from some website not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company, this is how you should source and license the image. Once the image is uploaded, just click the edit button on top and add the text.
Or, perhaps...when you upload an image, there are several options: Destination filename, Summary, and Licensing. The only one that really matters, in terms of this topic, is "Summary" which you can copy/paste the url of the website where the image came from. But Uskok's suggestion is good too, as editing a page to add a link is (almost) no different than adding an image to a gallery...I would think.
Ok, that's enough. I believe we already covered the situation several times, so it should be no surprise by now. But as a reminder, we try our best to keep tract on what is uploaded, what is edited, etc and odds are we may miss a few things that have happened. But not to worry too much, that rarely happens! However, we do welcome questions about if some information or is correct, or (getting back to topic) if some of these images are fan-made. Truthfully, unless some official source (Disney, Bruckheimer, etc) releases them, or if we happen to see the poster in the theater, we can't tell! I hope this explains things well?
And while I assume all the posters explained in this message board is a duplicate image (though I admit, the Dead Man's Chest one looks convincing), I do know for a fact that the On Stranger Tides box office poster is not fan-made because it was in a Walt Disney Studios post.
The specific On Stranger Tides poster, IS fanmade. I know, because I made it myself, by using the textless version of it, just because it's not available on high resolution. And that's the reason that I make most of them, just because they're not available anymore, in high resolution, or not at all. And the Dead Man's Chest one, is also fanmade, and I made it with the same way, by using the textless. I've stopped posting things about P5, (because it is not out yet, and no poster has come out), but the posters from the previews 4 movies, I guess CAN be allowed, because you didn't even know that they are fanmade, and you never mentioned anything. I joined this wiki, so to share my love with this movie, I don't mean to argue EVERY time that I post something.
If you are willing to remove my recent On Stranger Tides posters, then you should remove the one of DMC and the Box Office poster of OST.
