This man was known to be the crier that gave public announcements with a pirate execution sign. He was mostly seen standing outside of the Old Bailey courthouse in the streets of London, England.

Biography[]

Not much is known about this man's early life, but it's known that he was born in England. By 1750, he found employment working as the town crier in London, England. He was mostly seen giving public announcements involving hangings with a sign, like when Joshamee Gibbs was judged for apparently being the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow.[1] His further fate is unknown.

  • The London Town Crier was portrayed by David Pinkus in On Stranger Tides. Pinkus also served as an additional Second Assistant Director in the film's production.
