Jumbees, also referred to as Jumbies, were supernatural beings controlled by Voodoo practitioners. These soulless creatures were well-known throughout Caribbean lore. They were held in thrall to do their master's bidding, always thirsty for battle and fresh victims. During the War of Jolly Roger, jumbees were used in the service of Blackbeard and Jolly Roger aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge.
