Jay Wolpert is an American screenwriter and television producer. He wrote the original screen story of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with Stuart Beattie, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. Wolpert was credited along with Beattie for creating characters for The Curse of the Black Pearl that also appear in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, both written by Elliott and Rossio.
