With Barbossa having taken the Black Pearl once again, Jack sailed away on this small vessel, where he hoisted his own pirate flag. Luckily, Jack had anticipated Barbossa's treachery and had already stolen Barbossa's map. While drinking a bottle of rum he found in the dinghy, Jack Sparrow used the map and his compass to find his course, sailing the small vessel as he set off towards the Fountain of Youth. The fate of the dinghy after Jack began his quest, remain unknown.
