- "Love, that is a dinghy. My vessel is magnificent, and fierce, and huge-ish, and…gone. Why is it gone?"
- ―Jack Sparrow to Giselle[src]
This small fishing boat was used by Jack Sparrow after Captain Hector Barbossa commandeered the Black Pearl—for the second time—following the death of Lord Cutler Beckett.
Jack was left with the dory at Tortuga, after promising Giselle and Scarlett a ride on the Pearl. Alone, Jack set out in the boat, using Sao Feng's navigational charts to begin his quest for the Fountain of Youth. Jack found a bottle of rum in the boat, and happily hoisted his flag.
After some time sailing across the sea, Jack woke in his dory to find a pirate vessel looming over him, believed to have been captained by Bartholomew Roberts. Jack's adventures and the fate of the dingy, following this point, remain unknown.
