The Grand Barnacle was the name given to the fishing boat Barnacle when it was transformed into a grand Ship of the line by the spirit of Hernán Cortés.
Captain Jack Sparrow manned the Grand Barnacle alone, thanks to the power of the Sword of Cortés, though was unable to fully control it. When attacked by a naval vessel, the Grand Barnacle destroyed the ship and all aboard in retaliation, despite Jack's attempts to stop the carnage.
The Grand Barnacle was reverted back to its original form when the spirit of Montecuhzoma defeated Cortés on Isla Fortuna.
