IMO, I believe this article has the potential to happen, but at the same time I do simply do not like it(I cannot deny that). While I do agree that we need a conflict involving the events of CotBP, I don't agree on said article for the following reasons:
The Name - It should not be all about Norrington(as you can see through the plots). So I call upon all to give a name that can be suitable for this page...because it's something about "James Norrington's Anti-Piracy Campaign" that just doesn't seem right(plus such a campaign doesn't exist in the POTC universe).
The article's layout - It's kinda messy with the information and story itself.
Though the issue that this forum will focus on is the name...as it is the most important. I was able to get some fans to figure out some names for this event, and I was able to get a few possible names that I think could work. From most useful to least useful:
Quest to End the Curse
Kidnapping of Elizabeth Swann
Quest of the Aztec Gold
Quest for the Treasure of Cortés
But you don't necessarily have to choose from these names. You could also suggest any other possible names that could sum up the conflict...but they would have to circle around CotBP's plot. Like with the "War Against Piracy"(seach for the Dead Man's Chest; destroying piracy), and the "Quest for the Fountain of Youth"(racing towards the Fountain of Youth). But as for the event that has Barbossa and his crew returning 882 pieces of Aztec gold and everything else involved, I can't think which could be a suitable name.
You're right about it being too based on Norrington, the name. I think that it being regarding Elizabeth makes the second option inappropriate. Most of the timeline was spent on ending the curse rather than retrieving the chest or the aztec gold, so I would go for the first one more than the others. And I think the name should be the "Quest to End the Curse of Cortes" for that choice. The events prior to ending the curse can be under a "Prelude" section. If not, and if the third one is chosen, then 'of' should be changed to 'for'. - Lord Midhav 15:59, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
How? Three people also go for "End of the Curse" - Lord Midhav 16:28, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
2 of the votes seem to go for "either way" meaning "End the Curse" or "Quest for the Aztec Gold". So counting it all up, 3 went for "End of the Curse" and 4 went to "Quest for the Aztec Gold". --Black Pearl, HMS Interceptor, Queen Anne's Revenge 16:37, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
