History

How Angelica obtained this "Angelic Charm" is unknown, but it is known that this cross necklace was a souvenir from her early years spent in a convent. Although those days were behind her when she took up piracy, Angelica kept her faith strong and wore this necklace every day.

• Although ideas were submitted for the cross necklace featured in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the costume designers had already decided on a cross which they purchased in London. But multiple screen-used copies were needed, which also had to be sized down significantly for Penélope Cruz, the portrayer of Angelica.
• In the Disney Second Screen feature for On Stranger Tides, there was at least one post covering the backstory to Angelica's cross necklace. The cross on Philip Swift's Bible is in the exact shape of Angelica's cross necklace.
