Lorne Balfe (born February 23, 1976) is a Scottish composer and music producer. Best known for providing music for video games such as Assassin's Creed III, he worked at the Remote Control Productions Studio. Balfe had worked alongside Hans Zimmer multiple times to add additional music. Lorne Balfe worked on the music for two of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, often being credited as Lorne "Shiver Me Timbers" Balfe.

Early life and career[]

Born in Inverness, Scotland, Lorne Balfe started off his professional musical career by composing jingles for Radio Forth (now Forth One) in Edinburgh. He eventually became a composer. Balfe is best known for providing music for video games such as Assassin's Creed III, and having done some film music. On several occasions, Balfe had worked alongside legendary composer Hans Zimmer multiple times to add additional music. He was known to have worked at the Remote Control Productions Studio.
