The Pirates trapped in Davy Jones' Locker look just like normal, mortal pirates, but one difference makes them a lot more dangerous, desperation. The Drifting Dead, as they are called, would do anything they could to escape the Locker and return to the world they once knew. They are armed with Cutlasses, Pistols, Daggers, and Rapiers. They are very formidable in battle. Among the Drifting Dead was the once notorious pirate, Black Bart, who was found on his destroyed ship.
Behind the scenes[]
- The Drifting Dead's first and only appearance in the 2007 video game Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
- In the PlayStation 2, PC and PSP version of the game, rather than looking like normal humans, the drifting dead are monstrous zombie-like creatures in the first part of the Davy Jones' Locker level, and undead skeletons with swords and anchors still in their body in the second part.
