Back cover[]
Since the first gathering of the Brethren Court, when the original Pirate Lords laid down the laws of the Seven Seas, pirates have ruled unchallenged. Now, Lord Beckett of the East India Trading Company wants to end their reign. It's up to Captain Jack Sparrow and his fellow Pirate Lords to overcome this grave threat. If they fail, the pirates' way of life will be forever lost.
Trivia[]
- The book's back cover claims the first gathering of the Brethren Court "laid down the laws of the Seven Seas". It could be mistaken as the Code of the Pirate Brethren, even though the Code wasn't produced until the second meeting, but it is likely referring to the binding of the goddess Calypso into human form, thereby giving pirates rule of the seas.
- Like the film's junior novelization, the book ends in a cliffhanger as Elizabeth Swann orders the Pirate Armada to battle the East India Trading Company before the final showdown, leaving the readers to see the movie in order to find out what happens next.
