The Queen Anne's Revenge by illustrator Wil Madoc Rees.
Concept art of the Queen Anne's Revenge poop deck and entrance into Blackbeard's cabin by Wil Madoc Rees.
With the Sword of Triton, Blackbeard is able to bring his ship to life, creating what screenwriters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio describe as "a massive spiderweb of rope and rigging, crossing this way and that, all of the pirates caught in the web, bound, trapped like flies"—as can be seen in this Wil Madoc Rees illustration.
"We thought it would be great fun if Blackbeard has a huge stained glass window in the back of his cabin that was illuminated by the giant fire lantern just outside," says John Myhre. "To me, it was about the light creating the atmosphere in the cabin, with the angry, billowing flame moving through the window."
The interior of Blackbeard's cabin, as rendered here by Dean Tschetter, was built on B Stage at Pinewood Studios, and included a large section of the stained glass window.
