Fernando was a known Rumrunner of Spanish origin. He smuggled illegal goods in the Caribbean during the War of Jolly Roger. For his crimes, he was wanted by the East India Trading Company and the British Royal Navy. At some point in his life, he met the notorious pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. He was a regular visitor in the Skull's Thunder tavern on Padres Del Fuego.
