Behind the scenes

Died under unknown circumstances

This man was the husband of Mistress Ching and ruled the Pirate Confederation of China prior to his death.[1] His domain presumably encompassed the Pacific Ocean.

He died under unknown circumstances and his wife inherited both his position and his fleet of junks.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • Ching's rise to power through her husband's death is likely a reference to the history of Ching Shih, who took control of a vast Cantonese pirate fleet following the death of admiral Cheng in 1807.
