This child worked as a cabin boy, presumably aboard a pirate ship, around the time of Lord Cutler Beckett's drive to eradicate piracy on the Seven Seas.

[edit] Biography

The cabin boy was imprisoned and sentenced for execution by the East India Trading Company under strict statutes introduced by Lord Beckett. He was brought to Fort Charles in Port Royal, and lined up to be hung at the gallows in the central courtyard.[1] He had obtained a piece of eight prior to this, which resonated with the call put forth by Hector Barbossa to rally the Brethren Court at Shipwreck Cove.[2]

The boy began mournfully singing Hoist the Colours while the executioner found a crate for him to stand on, in order to reach the noose. The song was picked up by the entire assembly of prisoners, and ultimately resulted in the fourth meeting of the Brethren, and the defeat of Lord Beckett. The boy, however, was duly and cruely executed, dropping his coin to the ground beneath the gallows.[1]
