This ship was a pirate ship owned by Bartholomew Roberts.

After Roberts died, the ship ended up along with its captain in Davy Jones' Locker, wrecked and half-buried in sand. Roberts lived in the wreck of the ship, and for his amusement, started capturing and imprisoning other inhabitants of the Locker in the ship's many prison cells. After Roberts' second "death" on the hands of Captain Jack Sparrow, Roberts disappeared from the Locker, but the ship was left behind.

After Jack Sparrow headed to his search of the Fountain of Youth, he bumped into the ship, that had somehow been brought by the Locker and crewed by Roberts, Giselle and Scarlett.
