―Bailiff concerning Joshamee Gibbs[src]

In 1750 this man was called to be the bailiff during the trial against prisoner Joshamee Gibbs, who was mistaken as Captain Jack Sparrow. He announced the presence of the mysterious Justice Smith, who was really Jack Sparrow himself in disguise. A court official whispered into the ear of the Bailiff and exchange a bundle of currency as the Judge assumed control of the court. After prisoner Gibbs was condemned to a life in prison, those present at the courtroom angrily reacted over this decision by booing and hissing. While the crowd started hurling groceries, the Bailiff ordered Gibbs to be transported to the Tower of London.[1] His further fate is unknown.
